Nothing screams tropical more than the white bird of paradise plant. The perennials, alongside the orange bird of paradise, belonging to the genus of Strelitzia, and the family of Strelitziaceae.
The white bird of paradise has a long single trunk with large oar-shaped tropical looking leaves that can reach up to 3 feet long when grown properly. It doesn’t grow a stem, the leaves simply appear from the center pad. The white flower can continue to mature until it reaches 10 to 12 inches being patient when waiting for it to fully bloom its steady and slow and then wallah.. beautiful.
At a glance, this beautiful tropical plants leaves resemble a banana plant except no bananas produce instead you get gorgeous beautiful white, bird feather-looking petals. The bird of paradise plant is very popular in has become extremely wanted indoors the last 30 years or so. Many people also love the outdoor landscape of the tropics and beautiful bird like flowers it produces.
If planting outdoors it need alot of space for it to grow during its life.
