25 Bamboo Seeds Bamboo Moso, is the largest and most beautiful of the bamboos having a light feathery look from a distance. Mature plants have pretty foliage with large falling leaves that are wonderful for large landscapes and backgrounds.
It one of the strongest bamboos and is commonly used for timber, trellises, gardening, fencing furniture, construction material, paper, plywood, flooring, musical instruments and fishing poles. Moso bamboo are a winter variety down to -10 degrees with snow. It's useful on hills, slopes, soil erosion wind breaks, and privacy fences. Early shoots are a common eating variety many say is delicious.
Bamboo in general is not particular concerning soil type, although a neutral soil. Bamboo can also tolerate full sun or partial shade conditions. The key factor for moso bamboo growth is rainfall.
